Having undertaken this Certificate I now view my workplace with a more holistic approach. Achieving our goals must not include compromising our personal or corporate ethics or social responsibility. Cultures and practices develop within organisations and whilst many contribute to “getting the job done” it is also important to challenge and change the ones that hinder us. This certificate has given me the confidence to reflect on how I can have a positive impact on the outcome I want to achieve, whilst developing my staff. It’s important to remember that everyone has a part to play in delivering corporate aims and objectives.

I’ve found that the content of the programme has made me think and evaluate areas of work in a new light. The guided research topics have enabled me to challenge my own pre-conceived ideas of what it means to operate ethically, specifically around how to handle the differences between the personal ethics we all bring with us and how this then shapes the organisation as a whole. It has ultimately given me increased confidence when I need to challenge the way in which my own organisation handles and operates areas of ethical and innovation management.
